¶ Filtering, Searching, and Bulk Editing Products
Efficient work with the product catalog in Fynode begins with proper filtering, quick searching, and the ability to perform bulk edits – whether through multiselect, AI workflows, or exports. This article summarizes all the options for working with the product list and how to utilize bulk actions for maximum productivity.
¶ 1. Filtering and Searching in the Product List
On the page, you can filter and search products by:
- Category – display only products from a specific category
- Manufacturer – by brand/manufacturer
- In stock? – yes/no (show only in-stock or sold-out items)
- Active? – yes/no (active or hidden products)
- EAN – by barcode
- Filled texts – filter for products that have/do not have a short description, long description, SEO title, SEO description filled
- Fulltext – search by product name or details
With these filters, you can quickly select the segment you need to process – for example, all products without SEO description for bulk AI editing.
¶ 2. Multiselect and Bulk Actions
Once you have filtered (or searched) products, you can select them in bulk (multiselect). Above the list and in the context menu, bulk actions are available:
- AI task – Run bulk AI generation of descriptions, SEO, or translations for all selected products. You can choose a specific AI function (e.g., only title, only SEO, all descriptions…) and specify what inputs AI should use (product name, parameters, existing description, etc.).
- Delete – Remove selected products from the Fynode list (if they are still in the eshop, they will be reloaded after synchronization).
For the "AI task" action, you have options to precisely modify:
- Which AI function to run on the selected products (generate title, description, SEO, translate…).
- What inputs AI should use (product name, product parameters, short description, long description).
- For AI translation, select which data to translate and into which language (e.g., only SEO title into English).
- After confirming the action, an AI task is created, which you can find in the AI tasks section – where you can process, translate, or save back to the system either step-by-step or in bulk.
- Before running an AI task, you can bulk modify input values for AI (e.g., template short description, parameter adjustments…) alongside product selection.
- Selected (filtered) products can be exported directly to Excel – including inputs, outputs, AI-generated texts, or values for further processing outside the system.
¶ 6. Filtering and Searching for AI Work
- Filter products without descriptions, SEO, or in a specific language version – ideal for AI generation or translations.
- We recommend running AI workflows first on the filtered segment (e.g., products by manufacturer, category, or stock status).
- Always filter and select a small sample of products for testing before large bulk actions.
- Use AI workflows and exports gradually – check results, make adjustments, and then proceed with the next batch.
- Utilize multiselect and AI tasks for seasonal or promotional catalog updates or when importing new stock.
