In Fynode, working with categories is designed to allow you to efficiently organize and bulk edit products, set up categorization, and utilize AI workflows also for categories. You always work with system-loaded data from your e-shop.
- You manage categories on this page.
- After connecting your e-shop, categories are automatically imported; the entire process takes a few minutes to several tens of minutes depending on the catalog size.
- After the initial import, categories are synchronized daily – you can also manually trigger a re-import of all categories from the e-shop if no other import is currently running.
¶ 2. Category List – Display and Filtering
- In the category list, you see basic information: category name, parent category, and others.
- You can filter based on whether certain data (short/long description, SEO name/description) is filled or not, or search full-text.
- Each category has buttons for editing, deleting, or starting an AI task.
- Bulk use of AI workflows for categories – for example, generating descriptions or SEO based on category information.
- After selecting categories (multi-select), you can choose a bulk AI task (e.g., generating a long description, SEO description, or AI translation).
- For each AI action, you can select which data it should base on (e.g., category name, short description, long description).
- When translating, always select a specific data point and target language.
¶ 4. Category Detail – Texts and Editing
- In the category detail, you will see its texts (name, short description, long description, SEO name, SEO description).
- If the e-shop directly supports these data, they are editable within the system.
- If not, they can be stored as meta data with an assigned name (e.g., “SEO name (meta: seo_title)”).
- For multiple languages, you can also use AI for translation directly in the detail.
¶ 5. Organization and Deletion of Categories
- Categories can be bulk deleted (if they are no longer in the e-shop); however, if you find them again, they will reappear after synchronization.
- Changes in structure always follow the main data from the e-shop – correct assignment of parent/subcategories copies the catalog state in the main system.
¶ 6. Bulk Actions and Workflow with Categories
- Multi-select categories allow applying AI actions (generation, translation) or bulk deleting them from the system. For AI tasks, you choose which data the AI generates from or what to translate into which language.
Working with categories in Fynode is directly based on e-shop data, simplifying management of large product portfolios and enabling quick implementation of AI workflows for descriptions, SEO, and translations directly in categories and products.
