Meta data in the eshop serve for extended storage and exchange of structured information between Fynode and the connected e-shop platform. Properly configured meta data ensure comprehensive synchronization of information — for example, about products, categories, or orders — even when the external platform does not directly support specific fields via API.
You can utilize meta data on platforms such as:
- WooCommerce
- Shopify
- Ecwid
- Shoprenter
- Unas
- BiznisWeb
- Magento
- Webareal
- Upgates
- Wix
You can find the meta data settings in the Fynode administration under the e-shop details, available after activating the connection.
The following fields are available:
- Meta data field for company name
- Meta data field for Company ID
- Meta data field for VAT ID
- Meta data field for pickup point
- Meta data field for PDF invoice
- Meta-data field for the product EAN
- Meta data field for short/long product description
- Meta data field for SEO title/SEO description of the product
- Meta data field for short/long category description
- Meta data field for SEO title/SEO description of the category
Enter the exact names of the meta data fields used by your e-shop system into these fields. For example: if your e-shop records each pickup point ID in the meta field “pickup_point_id,” then in the “Meta data field for pickup point” setting, enter pickup_point_id.
- Fynode, during data import/export, checks whether a particular data point has its own dedicated field in the system or if it needs to use meta data.
- If the platform's API does not directly support, for example, an SEO title for a product but supports meta data, the data will be stored as
seo_title in the product's meta data.
- The user sees the name of the meta data in the label next to the input (e.g., “SEO title (meta: seo_title)”).
- The names and structure of meta data can be modified at any time in the eshop settings.
- If the e-shop supports multiple language versions, a section for each localization (e.g., sk, cz, pl, hu) is displayed for meta data, switchable directly during editing.
- The first localization/standard language is selected based on the order in the e-shop settings.
- Changing meta data settings will only affect new orders/product imports. To update existing data, use the “Synchronize with eshop” function.
¶ Overview and recommendations
