Stripe is a global online payment gateway supporting a wide range of payment methods and currencies. Fynode enables connection with Stripe for easy online payment acceptance, automated pairing of payments with orders, and transaction management across marketplaces.
- In the Bank section, click on the Stripe icon.
- Enter the Secret key – this information can be generated directly in your Stripe account.
- Enter the Secret key into the appropriate field.
- Click Save.
- After saving, the system will attempt to verify access and activate the connection. If the credentials are incorrect or there is a connection issue, an error message will appear; otherwise, Stripe will be listed among active gateways.
After activating Stripe, the settings displayed influence payment pairing:
- Order reference – determine whether Stripe references the "order number from the eshop" or the "order ID from the eshop" in the payment.
This information is crucial for automatic pairing of payments with the correct order.
¶ Pairing and managing payments
- Stripe payments are automatically paired with the correct order based on the selected reference field.
- Settings allow specifying which data (variable symbol, invoice number, order number) should be primarily used for pairing.
- After successful pairing, the order in Fynode is automatically marked as "paid" and can be moved to the next workflow stage (shipping, invoicing…).
- The payment status can also be manually changed in the order list.
¶ Changing and editing data
- If you need to update the login credentials (Secret key), simply click on Stripe again in the Bank section and enter the new key – saving will overwrite and verify the data.
- Keep the Secret key secure and never share it outside a trusted Fynode installation.
- When changing data in Stripe (e.g., regenerating the key), always update the settings in Fynode; otherwise, the connection will be non-functional.
Stripe is available in all major currencies and supports payments worldwide – suitable for eshops and marketplace projects with international reach.
