This article offers a universal step-by-step process for connecting any supported bank or payment gateway in Fynode. Thanks to this integration, you will be able to automatically match payments with orders, trigger workflows, and minimize errors through notifications about transactions and import of transactions.
- Decide whether you want to connect a regular bank account (e.g., Tatra Banka, FIO, VÚB...) or an online payment gateway (GoPay, Stripe, Mollie, Besteron…).
- For banks, prepare access to your internet banking and set up the option to send notification emails about received payments.
- For payment gateways, prepare authentication data (API key, secret key, client id, client secret, CID, shop identifier, or email/notification for transactions).
- Verify that you have an active account and enabled API/notification services according to the bank/gateway documentation or the provider's requirements.
- In Fynode, go to the Bank section.
- Select your bank from the list.
- Fynode will generate a unique notification email in the format
bmail-{HASH}@fynode.com.
- Enter this email into your internet banking as the notification email for payments/receipts.
- Save the settings in your bank, perform a test payment, and check if Fynode received the notification and correctly matched the payment with the order.
- In Fynode, go to the Bank section.
- Click on the logo of the desired payment gateway (e.g., Stripe, GoPay, Besteron...).
- Enter the required details according to the gateway type (Secret key, API key, Client ID, Client Secret, CID...).
- Save the settings.
- The system will automatically test the connection; if incorrect data is entered, an error message will be displayed.
- Specify the pairing field (according to which the payment will be matched to the order – order number, variable symbol, invoice...).
- After activating the bank/gateway, set up pairing rules:
- Priority: 1. variable symbol, 2. invoice number, 3. order number (recommended approach)
- Determine which fields should be prioritized based on how your bank or gateway sends them in notifications or webhooks.
- For unique scenarios (e.g., marketplace with multiple eshops), individual pairing for each channel can be configured.
- After activating the notification/gateway, perform a test payment or refund and monitor whether the received payment appears in Fynode and is correctly matched with the corresponding order.
- Check that workflows (e.g., automatic invoicing, order status change, customer notification) work according to the set rules.
- Notifications from the bank are not arriving: Check if you entered the notification email correctly in banking, and whether the bank supports this service.
- Payment is not matched: Review what data the payment received (VS, order, invoice) and adjust the priority of pairing fields.
- Incorrect/invalid authentication data: Verify directly in the gateway/bank interface whether you are entering the current key/secret; regenerate if necessary.
- Multiple bank accounts/gateways: Use separate connections in Fynode for each account.
- Never share sensitive data (API keys, secret keys) outside Fynode or trusted applications.
- After changing or deleting data in the bank/gateway interface, update it immediately in Fynode.
This universal guide allows you to connect almost any bank or payment gateway in Fynode, link financial flows with orders without manual work, and set up an efficient workflow for invoicing, shipping, and reporting.
